Allen Meadows - Score: 91-94 (2019 January)

Here the densely fruited nose is a bit less floral but even spicier with its cool array of red currant, cherry, spice and earth-scented aromas. There is a bit more concentration and power to the attractively textured medium weight plus flavors thanks to the abundant amount of sappy dry extract that also serves to buffer the superbly long and highly complex finale. While these two wines are qualitatively similar, there is just a bit more depth of material that may ultimately make for a more complete wine.
